207ME.COM has just completed a major upgrade to its Statewide Accelerated V92 $6.95 Dialup Network.

With the demand for affordable internet stronger than ever, and as our installed base for our $6.95 Dialup Internet Product continues to grow we decided to invest in a new network to better serve Maine consumers.

We have doubled the number of customers in 2008, and now serve households in over 340 Maine cities and towns, It has been clear this year that the demand still exists across the state for affordable internet access. Even when broadband is available consumers with moderate needs will often choose the cheaper solution.

We have seen a number of local ISPs recently close their doors or sell out to out of state companies as customers migrate off their $20 month dialup packages. On average a new customer can expect to save about $150 a year and be upgraded to a newer faster $6.95 V92 network with optional Call Alert and Web Acceleration.

Another trend seen is a number of broadband users reverting back to dialup to avoid paying a $40 month broadband bill. This new enhanced V92 dialup network allows them to still receive calls when on the internet when using the optional Call Alert.
